At Wickwood Handcrafts, each piece is handmade, carefully packed, and shipped with the goal of getting it to you safely. Because many items are one-of-a-kind and may vary in size, shape, weight, and packaging needs, shipping is handled with care rather than treated as a one-size-fits-all process.
Wickwood Handcrafts ships most items by USPS Priority Mail or USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate when practical.
USPS Priority Mail is generally the default shipping method because it offers tracking, reliable domestic service, and practical packaging options for many handmade items. Flat Rate shipping may be used when it is appropriate for the size, weight, value, and safe packaging of the item.
Items are shipped after final payment has been received and the item is ready for shipment.
Ready-made items are typically shipped within a reasonable processing window after final payment. Custom orders are shipped after the piece is completed, final payment is received, and any required shipping details are confirmed.
Because Wickwood Handcrafts items are handmade and may require careful packing, shipping timing may vary depending on the item, packaging requirements, carrier availability, holidays, weather, or other practical shipping conditions.
Shipping rates are based on the size, weight, destination, packaging requirements, carrier service, insurance needs, and any signature or delivery-confirmation requirements for the item.
When possible, WickwoodTX will use calculated shipping based on the item’s dimensions and weight. Some items may require manual review before the final shipping cost is confirmed, especially if the item is oversized, unusually shaped, high-value, fragile, or part of a multi-item order.
WickwoodTX may require signature confirmation for shipped items. This helps confirm delivery and protects both the customer and WickwoodTX when shipping handmade and one-of-a-kind pieces.
Please use a shipping address where someone can receive and sign for the package when required. If a package cannot be delivered because no one is available to receive it, the customer is responsible for following the carrier’s instructions for pickup, redelivery, or other delivery arrangements.
Customers may request a shipping method other than the Wickwood Handcrafts default if the requested method meets Wickwood Handcrafts minimum shipping requirements.
At a minimum, any approved shipping method must include tracking, safe handling for the item, adequate insurance when appropriate, and delivery confirmation or signature confirmation when required by WickwoodTX.
If the requested carrier or shipping service is not on the Wickwood Handcrafts standard shipping list, the shipment must generally include pickup from WickwoodTX. WickwoodTX is not responsible for driving to non-standard carrier locations or third-party drop-off points unless that arrangement is specifically approved in advance.
If a customer chooses a shipping method that costs more than the WickwoodTX default shipping option, the customer is responsible for the additional cost.
Combined shipping may be available when multiple items can be safely packaged together.
However, combined shipping is not guaranteed. Some items may need to be packed separately because of size, shape, weight, fragility, finish, or the risk of damage during transit. Wickwood Handcrafts will determine whether items can be safely combined for shipping.
Wickwood Handcrafts may insure outbound shipments when appropriate based on item value and shipping method.
For return shipments, the customer is responsible for packing the item carefully, using a trackable shipping method, and insuring the return shipment for the value of the item. Wickwood Handcrafts is not responsible for return shipments that are lost, damaged, or delivered without tracking confirmation.
If an item arrives damaged, please contact Wickwood Handcrafts within 48 hours of delivery. Include photos of the item, shipping box, packaging materials, and shipping label. Please keep the item, box, and all packaging materials until the issue is resolved.
Shipping damage will be reviewed under the Wickwood Handcrafts Returns, Refunds & Exchanges Policy. Wickwood Handcrafts may need this documentation to review the issue and, when appropriate, file a shipping claim with the carrier.
The customer is responsible for providing a correct and complete shipping address.
If an order is returned because the address was incorrect, incomplete, refused, undeliverable, or not picked up after delivery attempts, the customer may be responsible for additional shipping costs before the item is shipped again.
Local pickup may be available by prior arrangement when appropriate. Pickup details must be confirmed in advance. Items released through local pickup are considered delivered once they are picked up by the customer or the customer’s approved representative.
International shipping is not automatic by default. International orders may be considered by request and must be reviewed before shipping is approved.
International shipping may involve additional cost, customs forms, import duties, taxes, carrier restrictions, insurance limitations, longer delivery times, and country-specific rules. Any customs duties, taxes, import fees, brokerage fees, or other charges imposed by the destination country are the customer’s responsibility.
Wickwood Handcrafts may decline international shipment if the item cannot be shipped safely, legally, affordably, or with adequate tracking and insurance.
Wickwood Handcrafts makes reasonable efforts to provide accurate shipping estimates. Delivery dates are estimates and are not guaranteed unless specifically stated in writing.
Carrier delays, weather, holidays, customs processing, incorrect addresses, missed signature deliveries, or other circumstances outside Wickwood Handcrafts control may affect delivery timing.
If you have questions about shipping before placing an order, please contact Wickwood Handcrafts. Because many pieces are handmade and one-of-a-kind, we are happy to review the best shipping approach before final payment when needed.
These shipping rules are internal guidelines for how Wickwood Handcrafts handles packaging, carriers, timing, and approvals behind the scenes.
Default carrier – USPS Priority Mail or USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate when practical.
Final payment – Items ship only after final payment has been received and cleared.
Signature requirement – Shipments should require signature confirmation when practical to close the delivery loop.
Insurance – Wickwood Handcrafts may insure outbound shipments when appropriate based on item value and shipping method. Return shipments are the customer’s responsibility and should be trackable and insured.
Customer-selected shipping – Customers may request another shipping method if it meets Wickwood Handcrafts minimum requirements.
Non-standard carriers – If the requested carrier is not on standard shipping list for Wickwood Handcrafts, pickup from Wickwood Handcrafts must generally be arranged. Wickwood Handcrafts is not expected to drive to non-standard shipping locations.
Combined shipping – Combined shipping may be available, but it is not guaranteed because some items must be packaged separately for safe travel.
International shipping – Not automatic by default. International orders should be handled by quote/review only due to cost, insurance, customs, restrictions, and delivery variables.
